Global Warming - More Commie Plots

Caught this little tidbit from the Oral Question Period from Friday: Ms Nina Grewal, Fleetwood-Port Kells, asked her colleague, the Honourable Rona Ambrose, just how much the United Nations Climate Change Conference, held in Montreal last December, cost us po' folk. Well, it seems, from what the Environment Minister has found in the mountain of shredded documents left behind from the Lying Liberals leaving, that the lavish international affair ran up a tab of some $44 million dollars!

This conference was the same affair where former Prime Minister Paul Martin raced away from the election campaign to meet with former President Bill Clinton for a photo op. There was quite a gathering of UN types since global warming is something the zealots at the UN are trying to sell the snake oil for. The main man behind the plan (plot) is the odd little man who has his fingers in a lot of socialist plots (plans) against capitalist ideals: Maurice Strong.

Especially telling among the expensive suits being favoured at that conference we Canadian citizens supplied to the world's elite is the photo on the left. Dion, Pettigrew, UN Deputy Secretary General Louise Frechette, Martin and some other UN hack are looking very pleased with the sumptuous classless socialist environment. No T-shirts, No shoes, No service. It's the coal mines for you. For the people. You understand.

Suspiciously absent from the conference was the Strong meister himself. Unfortunately, he had just quit as UN envoy to North Korea. Of course, that had nothing to do with the FBI hunting him down for accepting a million dollar cheque from his buddy Tongsun Park, recently imprisoned for allegations emanating from his involvement in the UN Oil for Food scandal. You know, that's the plan/plot where the leftist bleeding hearts (and communists throughout the world) supply arms to Saddam Hussein's regime to save his butt from sanctions? Park was actually found in Canada but was arrested by US authorites as he tried to enter the states. Did we miss the memo? For a more detailed report on Maurice, Frechette, and the Canadian gang (all french liberals so it would appear) go here.

Suffice it to say, the Liberal/Quebec Party of Canada is heavily invested in selling global warming. Informed Canadians, and moi, just ain't buying.
============Oral Period Snippet=====================

Oral Question 7Apr06:
Ms. Nina Grewal (CPC):
Mr. Speaker, last fall the Liberals held an environment conference in Montreal. Could the Minister of the Environment tell us how much that conference cost and how many tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions were reduced because of it?

Hon Rona Ambrose (Minister of the Environment, CPC): Mr. Speaker, as president of the conference of parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, I am uniquely well aware of the opportunity Canada has to participate in the international dialogue on climate change. I also understand the importance of accountability to Canadian taxpayers on how we spend our money. In fact, the result of that conference in Montreal was that Canadian taxpayers shelled out $44 million. As to a reduction in emissions, the result is that emissions are actually up by 30%.

A nice little bit of investigative journalism Core...

You tie a much larger picture together with ease, and a dash of the left's undercurrent and intrigue.

I was contemplating a discourse on the falsehoods of global warming myself, but I'm glad you've nailed it because it gives me a chance to a chance to comment on your site for a change.

the real work's been done by numerous blogs out there. there's lots a poop, all stemming from connections that focus back to the Desmarais family in quebec. i might put together a post on the dirty dealings, or at least the links, some time later. as it is, anytime anyone tries to get you to believe the UN is good for anything, run.
